ProCon Medical has concluded the mandatory healthcare service provider professional liability insurance contract with PZU Insurence.

According to the Healthcare Service Provider Mandatory Liability Insurance Act, all self-employed healthcare professionals and legal entities providing healthcare services in Estonia are required to enter into a liability insurance agreement. The insurance coverage must include all healthcare services for which the provider has been granted an operating license.

Mandatory professional liability insurance helps compensate patients for damage incurred during the provision of healthcare services that occurred in the course of the treatment process (e.g., during diagnosis, treatment, administration of medication, patient transport, etc.) and that would likely have been preventable. Patients may submit compensation claims directly to the insurer instead of the healthcare service provider.

To submit a damage claim, the form available in PZU Insurance’s Self-Service Portal must be completed.
